Poetry by Air and Wine Music
To recap, I accidentally got drunk in First Class this past weekend, and, with the help of my iPod, cranked a few quickies that I'm willing to share.
(In the order they were written.)
==========================================================
Strange
Strangely becoming
Twisted fate
Bifurcated freedom
My calling
Do you hear it?
Our wandering
Do you fear it?
Meandering
Pandering
Emptied vessels of pleasure
And squandering
Every square inch of
Our landscape
Our life
One life
:: :: ::
It's ours to take
Mine - ours - to make
Do it for love
What was it that drove
Endless tomorrows in sight
Give us a chance, we might
Slow it down now
I'll show you how
Chase away the demons
I'll show you the reasons
And I promise
You'll want to try
(I know why.)
:: :: ::
Earthly pleasures
And luxuries
"Rules"
And guidelines
No longer apply
No restrictions
More addictions
From the sidelines
Blink! You might miss it
Reclining, fair dining
Darkness is coming to us.
From you
I take no chiding.

I like them (and the visual of you drunk in first class). Isn't traveling so easy and fun without a toddler to entertain?
Wow, girl -- you can write some poems. And, since nuance does not come across well via email and comments, I really like them!
BTW -- did you ever get around to posting any short stories (like you promised in your New Year's post)?
Thanks for writing tthis
